Meet Our Counselors

Meet the amazing and dedicated Audubon Elementary School wellness team! Students can reach out to their counselors for questions, guidance, and support.

School psychologists may provide support and consultation to teachers and parents of students experiencing learning and/or behavior problems. Students with an Individual Education Program who exhibit the need for a higher level of care may be recommended to receive Educationally-Related Mental Health Services. Please contact the SMFC Student Services Department for additional information or support at (650) 312-7341.

Shannon Brennan
I am a recent resident in The Bay Area from Newport Beach, CA. This is my first year with San Mateo - Foster City School District. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree, a single subject teaching credential as well as a Special Education credential in 1991. While teaching I found myself using many counseling techniques with my students. Because of that I decided to return to school to earn a School Counseling Credential. I earned a PPS Credential in School Counseling 2001. I have extensive experience working with students at all grade levels from Tk through High School. Education is where I am at my best. Some interests I have is watching college football and college basketball. Go Bruins! Being a Southern California native, I also love the Anaheim Angels! In my free time I enjoy the rich culture of San Francisco. The City is a magical place to explore. This is my first year with the San Mateo-Foster City School District. I am overjoyed to be working at Audubon Elementary School this year. Audubon has so many wonderful families that truly care about their children. I am honored to be a part of the Audubon family.
